Nottingham Forest is unable to climb the standings and remains mired in the lower ranks, plagued by uncertainty, anxiety, and deep concern, following the 1-1 draw against Ipswich at Portman Road.
After Williams’s spectacular goal off a pass from Muñoz in the 13th minute to give the visitors a 1-0 lead, things came to a standstill. A huge mistake on a clearance by Milenkovic allowed Enkiso to pounce, and he wouldn’t let the chance slip away in the 41st minute, tying the game.
Ipswich tied the game at 1-1 and defended the lead until the end, relying on their own strength—and perhaps a bit of the referee’s leniency—in the 51st minute.
Diop tackled McAtee before he could go one-on-one with the “Tractor Boys’” goal, but was shown a yellow card because, according to the referee and as officially stated by the Premier League, his contact with the ball diverted it from a position that could have led to a goal as a clear scoring opportunity.
