Dimitris Giannakopoulos took to social media to offer his heartfelt congratulations to PAOK on their victory over Panathinaikos and their advancement to the Stoiximan Super Cup final.
The owner of the green basketball club highlighted the significant absences on the Panathinaikos roster and then referred to today’s game against Olympiacos for the grand final of the mini-tournament, also making a comment about the match.
“Without Nan, Hayes-Davis, Sloukas, and an unprepared Rogavopoulos. But kudos to PAOK; I hope you’ll still be playing basketball tomorrow. Everyone knows my relationship with the PAOK club. May God be with you tomorrow,” he emphasized, and then recalled Stojaković’s three-pointer, commenting…
“Who doesn’t remember Stojaković inside the SEF? Don’t you want to relive those moments?
” Finally, he made sure to take a clear jab at the suspension imposed on him for being at the games…
“I can’t go. I’m supposed to be suspended until 2030-something—I don’t even know how long they’ve suspended me for. In Greece, I can’t go anywhere—to Greek games, that is.”
