The Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its founding in Thessaloniki, where the UEFA Executive Committee also met, with Makis Gagatsis in attendance.
The Federation’s president expressed his hope that the next 100 years will be even better and that the historic success of winning Euro 2004 will be repeated!
“We welcome the European family to Thessaloniki; it is a special honor for the Federation, Greece, and for the city to host the UEFA Executive Committee as well as the EPO’s 100th anniversary.
It is also a special moment for me, because Thessaloniki is the city where I was born and raised.
Today you saw that the Legends came to play soccer with young children—and that, after all, is the kind of soccer we want to see.
The people of Thessaloniki have embraced this event, just as they have all the others organized to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) and the UEFA Executive Committee.
“I hope the next 100 years will be even better and that the success of EURO 2004 will be repeated,” Makis Gagatsis explained in detail.
