Last night (August 14), Omonia fans had the opportunity to watch their next opponent in the Europa League playoffs.
Specifically, Sint-Truiden was playing away against Cercle Brugge in the second round of the Belgian league, letting victory slip through their fingers.
Until the 82nd minute, Omonia’s opponent was leading 1-3, with goals from Ryan Merlen (2) and Nelson Ishivatari; but by the end of the match, they had conceded two goals, with the final 3-3 score coming from an own goal in the 90’+3′.
This is the second draw in as many matches for Sint-Truiden, which is now preparing to host Omonia, with the first game scheduled for this coming Thursday (August 20, 9:00 p.m.).
