Tests conducted on Giorgos Vagiannidis upon his return to Lisbon following his injury in the Greece–Germany match revealed a strain rather than a serious tear.
The 25-year-old right-back, who was substituted at halftime in Augsburg on Sunday, is expected to be sidelined for 7–10 days, so he may be ready for the league match against Braga on October 9, while he will definitely be available for the away Champions League match against Lens on October 13.
