Alarm bells have been ringing in France and at Real Madrid since last night, as Kylian Mbappé was forced to leave the field injured during the “Tricolors’” victorious opener in the Nations League, a 1-0 win over Turkey.
The 27-year-old superstar left the national team’s camp immediately and traveled to Madrid to undergo the necessary medical examinations by the "Merengues."
On Saturday evening, Real Madrid issued a statement regarding the explosive striker’s injury, stating that he had suffered a sprain of the posterior ligament in his left knee and that his condition would be closely monitored.
Although the Madrid club did not specify a timeframe for his absence from competitive action, Spanish media outlets emphasize that this type of injury is expected to keep him off the field for at least two weeks.
