The Argentine national team has scored five goals in this year’s World Cup, and all five have been scored by its undisputed leader, Lionel Messi, who is in incredible form.

The GOAT, who is celebrating his birthday (who turned 39 today, June 24) was asked in a recent interview whether he’ll be playing in the next World Cup in 2030, when he’ll be 43!

“I don’t know. The truth is, I’m not thinking about that right now. It seems a bit far off, but as I said, I take it one day at a time and I’m focused on the present,” said Messi, who climbed to the top of the all-time World Cup scoring list at this year’s tournament.
