A new chapter is beginning in Christian Romero’s career, as the 28-year-old center back is officially presented as Atlético Madrid’s newest signing.
Diego Simeone’s team wanted to strengthen its defensive line, and the Argentine is the ideal solution for the Madrid club, thanks to his experience, his dynamic presence, and his quality in the backfield.
Last season, Romero made a total of 32 appearances, scoring six goals and providing four assists, while Atlético had to pay approximately 40 million euros to sign him.
The Argentine international is now one of the most important new faces on Atlético’s roster, with Diego Simeone expecting him to bring greater stability and leadership to the defense. His signing also underscores the club’s high ambitions ahead of the new season.
