The EuroCup champion, Bourg is expected to be the fourth team in the “Pavlos Giannakopoulos” tournament, following host Panathinaikos, PAOK, and Partizan.
The “Greens,” as confirmed by sources in France, extended an invitation, which was accepted; thus, they will hold their final practice sessions in Athens, one week before the domestic league begins.
The tournament, which has been held in recent years in memory of the historic leader of Panathinaikos BC, is scheduled to take place at the Telekom Center Athens on September 18–19 and will also serve as as their final warm-up, since their EuroLeague campaign begins on September 24 when they host another French team, Paris.
Panathinaikos is expected to face Bourg and Partizan in the tournament, but not PAOK, whom they will face a week later in the Super Cup.
