ΣΧΕΤΙΚΑ ΑΡΘΡΑ
The “torpedo” of Cypriot swimming was unbeatable in the final, stopping the clock at an impressive 24.92 and climbing to the top step of the podium for the second time in two days!
Finishing behind her was Italy’s Elena Capreta with a time of 25.02, while the bronze medal went to her compatriot Agata Maria Ambler, with a time of 25.12
TWO EVENTS—TWO GOLD MEDALS!
Following her gold medal in the 100-meter Freestyle, where she successfully defended the title she had won four years earlier in Oran, Kalia added the gold in the 50-meter Freestyle to her collection.
And this achievement is even more impressive when we remember that in the same event, in Oran four years ago, she had won the bronze medal.
From bronze in Oran to gold in Taranto!
From her first gold to her second!
Two events, two gold medals!
Kalia Antoniou is making her own history at “Taranto 26” and giving Cyprus moments of unparalleled pride.
With these two victories, the Cypriot flag is raised once again to the top of the flagpole, and the national anthem rings out once more in Taranto. An image that will remain etched in all our memories.
Warm congratulations to Kalia Antoniou!
Congratulations to her coach for the excellent preparation and guidance, as well as to the Cyprus Swimming Federation for its long-standing support and valuable work.
Kalia, you’ve made us proud once again!
Two gold medals. One champion. One Cyprus celebrating!
