Coventry made history at City Ground, securing its first Premier League victory in 25 full years and stunning Nottingham Forest with a 0-1 win. The game started at a brisk pace for both sides, with chances at both ends, but the first half ended scoreless, as neither team managed to find the back of the net.
The big moment came in the 55th minute. The visiting goalkeeper read the play correctly, quickly played the ball out, and Dasilva finished it off perfectly, making it 0-1 and scoring Coventry’s first goal of the season. Forest tried to respond, pushed up the field, and pressed for the equalizer, coming within a hair’s breadth of making it 1-1 in the 87th minute, but Jesus’s goal was ruled out for an offensive foul after a review.
