New sporting director at Liverpool!
The “Reds” have officially announced the start of their partnership with Julian Ward, with the 45-year-old former soccer player returning to the English club after a three-year absence to take on his new role.
Ward first joined Liverpool’s football operations department in 2012, when he took on a role in the team’s scouting department, while also providing significant assistance with player transfers and development.
He has also previously worked at Manchester City and for the Portuguese national team, while at Liverpool he served as assistant sporting director and sporting director until 2023, when he left the club
Liverpool FC can confirm that Julian Ward has been appointed the club’s sporting director.
