Ali Youssef was left off Apollon’s roster for their preseason training camp in the Netherlands, while discussions regarding his future are currently underway.

According to reports from Sweden, it is believed that the 25-year-old winger will play for Mjällby, and that a “middle ground” will be found between the Swedish club and Apollon.

The “blue-and-whites” are continuing negotiations with an interested club, with all indications suggesting that the 25-year-old winger is closer to leaving than to staying with the Limassol-based team.

Mialbi is the team with which open lines of communication are being maintained, with the two scenarios on the table involving either a new loan or a permanent transfer of the player.

Here is the full text of the report:

“Ali Youssef left Häcken at the end of the 2024 season. The forward scored ten goals in 23 matches in the Swedish league before signing with Apollon Limassol. This season, he has scored two goals in 23 appearances.

However, as early as this summer, he may make an unexpected return to Swedish soccer—this time for another yellow-and-black team that is eager to sign him. According to sources at Expressen, Mjällby wants to sign Ali Youssef on loan.

The two sides are already in talks to reach a solution, and it remains to be seen how the negotiations will turn out.

At this time, there is no final agreement. Youssef can play both as a center forward and on the wings. In Sweden, he has only played for Häcken, but it now seems likely that he will move to Strömsgodset this summer.”
