Twenty-four hours after its impressive EuroLeague regular-season opener and a 106-89 victory over Baskonia in Vitoria, Olympiacos is now turning its attention to the Stoiximan Super Cup, where the season’s first domestic title will be decided.
The “Red-and-Whites” will face AEK tomorrow (September 26, 4:45 p.m.) at the Peristeri Indoor Arena "Andreas Papandreou" Indoor Arena for the tournament’s semifinals, and if they win, they’ll wait to find out who their opponent will be in Sunday’s final (September 27, 8:00 p.m.) from the Panathinaikos-PAOK matchup.
Giorgos Bartzokas and his coaching staff have finalized the list of eight foreign players who will compete for the Piraeus team in the Super Cup, as the names of Cody Miller-McIntyre, Jan Montero, Evan Fournier, Tyson Ward, Emba Ediay, Doda Hall, Tyrique Jones, and Nikola Milutinov—with Cory Joseph ultimately left off the roster.
We remind you that before the tip-off of each game, two more foreign players must be cut to finalize the 12-man roster—a difficult decision that Olympiacos’s management must make.
