Niklas Eliasson appears to be close to leaving AEK, with Internacional making a strong push to sign him on loan. And while Botafogo has denied any interest in the Swedish winger, reports in Brazil suggest that Santos may enter the fray, although they are currently under a transfer ban.
Journalist Luís Carlos Retsche has brought to light a document which, he claims, is Internacional’s official offer to AEK for the 30-year-old star.
According to the document, the Brazilian club is offering 300,000 euros as a “loan fee,” to be paid in three installments: 100,000 euros by September 30, 2026, 50,000 euros by November 30, 2026, and 150,000 euros by June 30, 2027.
Under the terms of the offer, Internacional will also retain a call option of 2.8 million euros, which is effectively 2.5 million euros, since if exercised, the 300,000 euros will be deducted from the “rental fee.” Payment for the purchase option is to be made in four installments: 500,000 euros by September 30, 2027, 1 million euros by April 30, 2028, 500,000 by September 30, 2028, and 500,000 by April 30, 2029.
Eliasson is reportedly pushing to finalize the deal so he can return to his mother’s homeland.
