The Dutch national team will be led by coach Xavi in its next match, with the Spanish coach set to announce his first roster ahead of the matches against Greece, Germany, and Serbia.
Notable among the call-ups is 22-year-old Ruben van Bommel, son of Mark van Bommel, while Jeremy Frimpong returns to the Dutch squad after missing the World Cup.
On the other hand, the absence of the all-time leading scorer in the history of the Dutch national team, Memphis Depay, as well as that of Wout Weghorst, is particularly notable.
The Dutch national team roster:
- Goalkeepers: Marco Flecken, Robin Roefs, Bart Verbruggen
- Defenders: Nathan Ake, Virgil van Dijk, Denzel Dumfries, Jeremy Frimpong, Lutcharel Hertwinda, Jorel Hatto, Jan Paul van Hecke, Quinten Timber, Micky van de Ven
- Midfielders: Ryan Kravenberg, Teun Kopmeiners, Tijani Raiders, Ken Taylor, Jurien Timber, Joey Ferman, Jivai Zehiel
- Forwards: Ruben van Bommel, Brian Brombay, Kodi Hakpo, Justin Kluivert, Noah Lang, Doniel Malen, Charlie Summerville
