Olympiacos’ announcement:
“Olympiacos BC announces the signing of a new two-year contract with Kostas Papanikolaou.
There are partnerships that go beyond the terms of a contract. Partnerships that are built over time, based on trust, mutual respect, and a shared desire for continuous growth and new successes. One such partnership is the one we have with Kostas Papanikolaou.
We share much more with our captain than just titles. Together, we’ve experienced unique moments and won three EuroLeague titles (2012, 2013, 2026), six Greek Championships (2012, 2016, 2022, 2023, 2025, 2026), five Greek Cups (2010, 2011, 2022, 2023, 2024), and four Greek Super Cups (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025).
Above all, however, we share a common journey filled with challenges, difficult moments, disappointments, faith, perseverance, and relentless effort. A journey that has led us to great successes and gives us the strength to continue striving for even more.
Kostas Papanikolaou is not just the captain of our team. He is an athlete who, through his character, dedication, and consistency on the field, has left his mark on the club and serves as a role model for everyone who wears the Olympiacos jersey.
The renewal of our partnership is the natural continuation of a shared journey that has brought great moments to the club.
With the same values and the same ambition, we continue together, aiming to achieve even greater successes!”
