Olympiacos BC has issued an official announcement regarding the signing of Emba Ye Ndiaye.
The Red-and-Whites announced that the Senegalese star has signed a two-year contract.
Although Ediai had initially agreed to continue his career in Villeurbanne, with the French club even announcing the extension of their partnership last summer, the club’s financial problems appear to have changed the situation. This development paved the way for Olympiacos, which seized the opportunity to sign the Senegalese power forward.
After all, Ndiaye is coming off the most productive season of his career in the EuroLeague. In 32 games with Villeurbanne—10 of which he started—he averaged 7.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, 1.2 steals, and 1.3 assists. At the same time, he stood out for his efficiency near the basket, shooting 69.7% on two-point attempts.
“Olympiacos BC announces the signing of Mbaye Ndiaye. The Senegalese forward will wear the red-and-white jersey for the next two years,” the announcement states.
