Just like Argentina, the Spanish national team shared an exciting video, filmed in New York, to liven up the atmosphere and get fans excited just a few hours before facing the “Albiceleste” in the 2026 World Cup final (July 19, 10:00 p.m.).
“And why shouldn’t we be world champions in New York?” says Aymeric Laporte in response to a reporter’s question during a press conference in 2022. And that’s how the video begins.
And why not?

The journalist asked why Spain could win the World Cup scheduled for 2026, to which Laporte replied with great simplicity: “Why not?” This response went viral and is now being revived to inspire victory.
In fact, the video features all the national team players who won the World Cup in South Africa in 2010. They all ask the same question as Laporte: “And why not?”
If our 2010 champions are so sure of it…
WHY NOT?
