The Bosnians, in their first World Cup appearance in 12 years, managed to advance past the group stage and move on to the tournament’s knockout round.
Although they did not finish in the top two of Group B, they have qualified for the World Cup’s round of 32, having earned 4 points over the three group stage matches that are wrapping up these days.
The Bosnians defeated Qatar 3-1 in their final group stage match, and this result propels Sergej Barbarez’s team into the next round.
It should be noted that in their opening match, they drew 1-1 against a formidable Canadian team, while they lost 4-1 to Switzerland in their second match.
