Ceddi Osman bid farewell to Panathinaikos with a deeply emotional message on social media, choosing to speak of gratitude rather than goodbye.
The Turkish forward reflected on the two years he spent in Athens, the bond he formed with the fans, and the honor he felt wearing the “clover” jersey, emphasizing that the memories and the connection he built will stay with him forever.
In detail
“Dear Panathinaikos family,
This is not a goodbye. It’s a message of gratitude. Some journeys remain unforgettable not because of how long they last, but because of how deeply they make you feel. For two years, your incredible support always made me feel right at home. Every cheer, every message, every second I spent on the court took on greater meaning thanks to you. I will carry the bond we built in my heart for the rest of my life.
Of course, I wish this story had lasted longer, but my own wishes couldn’t change the way it ended. Sometimes life takes you down paths you could never have imagined. I leave with immense gratitude and with memories that will always hold a special place in my heart.
It was a great honor to wear this jersey. I want to thank all my teammates, the coaching staff, and everyone who works at the club—with whom I shared the same enthusiasm and dreamed together over these past two years. I’ve spent two wonderful years with wonderful people.
Some goodbyes aren’t really an end. Because you never completely leave a place that has touched your heart.
Thank you, Athens.
Thank you, Panathinaikos…
Cedi Osman.”
