Jürgen Klopp made some pointed remarks about the refereeing in the match between Germany and Paraguay.

Following Jonathan Ta’s goal in extra time (which was initially allowed but then disallowed after a VAR review for an offensive foul on the goalkeeper), the former Liverpool manager was scathing in his commentary.

He therefore cited the infamous… “screening” during corner kicks (which has been so widely discussed this year in the Premier League) and remarked:

“If that goal is offside, Arsenal wouldn’t be the English champions. They scored 60% of their goals that way”…
