Matías Lesor underwent a minor, fully scheduled procedure over the past few days to resolve an issue that had been bothering him in his right elbow. The French center for Panathinaikos underwent debridement, a routine procedure commonly performed in cases of localized irritation or minor inflammation caused by intense strain.
The procedure took place in early July, and according to the medical plan, full recovery in such cases takes no more than two weeks. Lesor has already completed most of this period, as the surgery took place about ten days ago, which means he is now in the final stage of his recovery.
The problem arose during the Stoiximan Basket League finals, where the French player had been under considerable strain. The decision to undergo the procedure was made to ensure there would be no lingering discomfort ahead of the new season and to allow him to begin training without restrictions.
From now on, Lesor will follow a specialized training program—not because of his elbow, but as part of the general preseason preparation planned by the coaching staff. All signs point to the French center being present and fully ready on August 25, when Panathinaikos AKTOR officially begins training for the new season.
In any case, this is a process that does not cause concern for the “clover,” as Lesor is expected to return to full form soon.
