The Cavaliers continue to scout the market in order to finalize their roster ahead of the 2026-27 season, with Bruce Brown’s name now in the spotlight.
According to reports in the United States, the veteran guard-forward has been linked to the Cavaliers as a potential solution for the last available spot on the roster. The 30-year-old remains a free agent and has a playing profile that could fit Cleveland’s needs, primarily due to his experience, his defensive consistency, and his ability to play multiple positions.

Interest in Brown does not, however, mean that a deal is already in place or that negotiations have progressed. For now, this is a scenario that has reportedly been considered by Cavaliers officials, who are also waiting for the situation with Cam Whitmore to become clearer.
Whitmore was recently acquired by Cleveland as part of a multi-team trade, in which the Cavaliers also added Payton Watson from the Nuggets to their roster. However, according to the latest reports, Whitmore is not expected to remain with the team for the long term. Once his situation is resolved, Cleveland will have greater flexibility to make another addition.
This is where Bruce Brown comes into the picture. He is a player who can contribute in several different areas of the game. He can play both guard and forward, handle the ball as a second playmaker, and defend opponents at various positions. At the same time, he has extensive experience in demanding playoff series.
Last season, Brown played in all 82 regular-season games for the Denver Nuggets, starting in four of them. He averaged 7.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and one steal in 24.4 minutes per game.
In his eight NBA seasons, Brown has played a total of 539 regular-season games and is averaging 8.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists, shooting 47.6% from the field.
