Red Star is close to signing Jonathan Motley. The Belgrade team will cover approximately $1.5 million of the American center’s contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv, while the Israeli team will pay the remainder.

The 31-year-old star had a limited role last season, averaging 8.3 points and 2.4 rebounds in about 15 minutes per game in the EuroLeague. In contrast, during the 2024–25 season, he averaged 16.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in the EuroCup, where he helped his team win the title, was named to the tournament’s All-Tournament Team, and was also named MVP of the finals.
