The German national team has moved on to the next chapter, with Jürgen Klopp now at the helm. The 59-year-old will make his debut in the Nations League match against the Netherlands (September 24, 9:45 p.m.), and in a recent interview, he was asked about Jamal Musiala.
The 23-year-old attacking midfielder for Bayern Munich had collapsed during two preseason friendlies and, in a social media post, had revealed that he suffers from absence seizures (absences) caused by a neurological disorder.
Klopp, however, appeared reassuring, emphasizing that Musiala needs consistency.
“I don’t think about it at all. We have the entire medical staff with us; there’s no reason to talk to Jamal about this or even think about it. Everything has been taken care of; he’s being looked after. He needs consistency.
He’s training normally, he’s training with enthusiasm, which makes sense, since he misses playing. “Everything is as it should be at the moment,” Klopp said, among other things, regarding Musiala.
