Nea Salamina is close to finalizing its 13th transfer, having announced a preliminary agreement with 30-year-old French midfielder Brahim Konaté. The player is expected to arrive in Cyprus in the coming days to undergo the necessary medical exams and finalize the paperwork to make the deal official.
Konaté joins the “Red-and-Whites” with a strong track record in French soccer, having played in Ligue 2 with Auxerre and Niort, while his most recent club was Zira in Azerbaijan.

The Board of Directors of NEA SALAMINA AMMOCHOSTOS, in collaboration with the Planning Committee, announces that it has reached an agreement in principle with 30-year-old French midfielder Brahim Konaté.
The player is expected to arrive in Cyprus within the next few days to undergo the necessary medical examinations and complete the required procedures to finalize the agreement.
The contract will be for one (1) year, with an option to renew for an additional one (1) year.
Brahim Konaté was born on March 20, 1996, in Montfermeil, France; he stands 1.83 m tall and plays in midfield.
He came up through the AJ Auxerre youth academy and has significant experience in France’s Ligue 2, having played for AJ Auxerre and Chamois Niortais. The most recent stop in his career was Zira FC in Azerbaijan.
He also represented the French U-20 national team.
