Hull is reportedly very close to signing Konstantinos Tzolakis from Olympiacos, according to reporters covering the newly promoted Premier League team, Barry Cooper and Kurt Johansson.
“Hull City is close to signing Olympiacos goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis, in what would be a huge coup for the newly promoted Tigers. It is understood that City is on the verge of finalizing a major deal for the experienced 23-year-old, following a significant development in direct talks between Olympiacos owner, Evangelos Marinakis, and Ajun Ilicali,” the report states.
“City appears poised to outbid its Premier League rivals for Tzolakis, who is believed to prefer a move to MKM Stadium, and will sign a long-term contract in East Yorkshire. Sources have reported that a deal could be finalized in time for Tzolakis to join the City squad, which will be in Slovenia next week for the first stage of preseason," the report adds.
The report emphasizes that Tzolakis’s contract expires next summer “… but talks regarding a new contract have not progressed, and a transfer to East Yorkshire is now expected.”
