The 2026/27 season is well underway. The list of Cypriot soccer players competing abroad has been updated. Some have returned home (e.g., Andreas Karo), while others have spread their wings and “flown” to other countries.
For example, Iasonas Pikis is in Armenia with Pyunik, Paris Psaltis is in Georgia playing for Dinamo Tbilisi (coached by Timur Ketsbaia), while Herodotos Christodoulou is playing in Poland for Śląsk Wrocław.
Over the past week, several Cypriot players stood out. Ioannis Pittas has already recorded a goal and an assist for CSKA Sofia. In the previous match, a 3-1 victory over Cerno More, he provided the assist for his team’s second goal.
Watch the assist at 2:30.
Since then, Stelios Andreou has left Poland and Widzew Łódź, transferring to Portugal to play for Estoril. The Cypriot defender made his debut under challenging circumstances, starting against Vangelis Pavlidis’ Benfica.
