It’s time for the first Clásico of the season, with Barcelona hosting Real Madrid on Sunday night (Oct. 25, 10:00 p.m.) at Camp Nou, in one of the most important derbies on the planet.
The “Blaugrana” suffered their first defeat, a 4-2 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in France, in the Champions League. However, in La Liga, they have nine wins in as many matches. Hansy Flick’s team has tied Real Madrid’s historic record from the 1968–69 season and aims, against their archrival, to go 10-for-10, extending their winning streak and widening the gap to nine points!
On the other side, the “Queen” has its back against the wall. The 4-1 victory over Leipzig—its third in the Champions League group stage—has boosted its morale. However, in the league they are in third place and need to get a result in Barcelona to avoid falling behind so early in the title race.
Another highlight of Matchday 10 is Atlético Madrid’s home match against Deportivo La Coruña. The “Roji Blancos” are seeking their sixth consecutive league victory, which would allow them to capitalize on the result of the derby at Camp Nou.
