I’ve learned my lesson… Watching Christos Mandas put in some amazing performances this year, helping Lazio stay at the top of Serie A, the technical director of the Rome-based club, Angelo Mariano Fabiani, admitted that he made a mistake by agreeing to loan the Greek goalkeeper to Bournemouth last year.
“People don’t care how much it cost to sign him, the figures, and all that… In my opinion, he was born and raised… already a star. Last year, I made the mistake of sending him abroad, at the request of the player himself and his representatives,” he emphasized.
The 25-year-old star has made eight appearances this season with the “Laziali,” conceding a total of six goals and keeping a clean sheet in four games. His most recent clean sheet came in Roma’s big away win over Juventus (0-3) on Sunday.
