Two games without a win were enough for Bayern Munich, which decided to… get serious and return to winning ways in the most emphatic fashion!
After a difficult week following draws with Augsburg (2-2) and Viking (3-3) in the Bundesliga and Champions League, respectively, the Bavarians bounced back and crushed Leipzig 6-1 in a stunning victory at the “Allianz Arena” for the sixth matchday of the German league!
The… one-sided affair was all but over by the 35th minute, with the home team scoring three goals through Diaz (12′), Pavlovic (26′), and Olise (34′)! Despite substitutions by both teams in the second half, the pace and flow of the match didn’t change at all, with the German champions finding the back of the net three more times.
In the 47th minute, Diaz scored his second goal, followed five minutes later by Harry Kane’s ninth goal of the season across all competitions. The “icing on the cake” came from the Colombian winger, who recorded his second career hat trick with the Bavarians.
The final score and the consolation goal for the “Bulls” came from Maksimović in the first minute of stoppage time.
