Seven league matches in, and Levadiakos still hasn’t scored a goal! The Boeotians failed to find the back of the net even against Volos, settling for a 0-0 draw in Livadeia for Matchday 7 of the Stoiximan Super League, in a game where they had the chance to capitalize on their numerical advantage for more than an hour.
However, Charalambous’s team failed to find solutions, highlighting the huge problem it faces in creating chances and executing its offensive play. Volos was reduced to ten men in the 25th minute when Bare was sent off with a straight red card following a VAR review, but managed to withstand the pressure.
Levadiakos had its moments, most notably Kostis’s chance in the 36th minute, and in the 44th minute saw Ursi score, but the goal was disallowed due to an offside call on Emmanouilidis at the start of the play.
The teams were back to even numbers in the 84th minute, when Elneny was sent off with a second yellow card, and the score remained 0-0 until the final whistle. Thus, Levadiakos now has two points, having failed to score in seven matches, while Volos now has zero points following the deduction of three points due to the Sundgren case.
The starting lineups:
Levadiakos (Ilias Charalambous): Eliasi, Manthatis, Liagas, Panzo, Pantea, Kostis, Entiaye, Pantea, Goumas, Popescu, Emmanouilidis.
