Following the joint announcement by the Club and the APOEL Players’ Association regarding the Cyprus Football Association’s (KOP) positive response to the agreement with the investment group, Savvas Liasis has spoken out for the first time and publicly commented on the matter.
In a statement, he thanked the federation and UEFA for their cooperation and emphasized the significance of this development, as only procedural steps remain before the “marriage” is finalized.

In detail: Following the particularly positive developments regarding our interest in investing in and becoming involved with APOEL, we would like to express our gratitude to the Cyprus Football Association (KOP) and UEFA for their cooperation, their guidance, and their contribution throughout the entire process to date.
This development is particularly significant, as it now allows us to move on to the next and final stage.
For our part, we are immediately beginning work to finalize the agreement between the parties involved.
