Saturday’s (September 12) Ligue 1 schedule for Matchday 4 of the French league featured four draws and just one win!
The only team that… had reason to smile was Auxerre, which earned its first points of the season following a 1-0 home victory over Nice. Archer scored the game’s only goal in the 74th minute, leaving the Nice team in last place in the standings with 2 points.
The match between Le Havre and Angers ended in a scoreless draw, as did the game between Paris FC and Lyon, with the latter two extending their unbeaten streaks—both now stand at 2-2-0—and remaining near the top of the standings.
Finally, the match between Strasbourg and Monaco also ended in a draw, with the two teams tied 1-1 at the “Stade de la Meinau.” This marked the first time Monaco had dropped points this season, having previously recorded three wins.
Finally, Lorient and Toulouse rounded out the four draws with an impressive 2-2 tie.
