Liverpool continues to honor the memory of Diogo Jota, who lost his life along with his brother, André, in a car accident on July 3, 2025, plunging the “Reds” family and the soccer world into mourning.
In light of this, the English club announced the release of a biography dedicated to the Portuguese soccer player. Proceeds from the book’s sales will go to the foundation to be established in his memory, which will bear his name.
The book, titled “Forever in Our Hearts,” is written by Portuguese author and former professional soccer player José Delgado. Its pages trace Zota’s journey, from his early days in Portugal to his establishment as one of the most exceptional soccer players of his generation, as well as a deeply beloved member of the Liverpool family.

Through in-depth interviews with his family, friends, teammates, and coaches, this biography captures Diogo Jota’s personality and journey both on and off the field. Among those sharing their memories are his wife, Rute; his parents, Isabel and Joaquim, as well as former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp, along with more than 90 people who knew him personally.
Through the testimonies of those who knew him, “Forever in Our Hearts” highlights the talent, determination, and humility of Diogo Jota, while also honoring the strong bond he shared with his brother, André, and the legacy they left in soccer.
It also recounts his marriage to his childhood sweetheart, as well as the outpouring of emotion and tributes from the soccer world following the death of the two brothers. Earlier this year, a permanent memorial was unveiled outside Anfield in honor of the Zotas, where fans can pay their respects.
