Our national team played to a 0-0 draw against Latvia in Riga as part of the second matchday of Group 2 in League C of the Nations League.
After the match, the coach of our national team, Akis Mantzios, spoke to the media and commented on the game.
Here are his comments in detail
“We should have won, but at certain moments, a poor decision and the crossbar prevented us from getting the result we wanted. We dominated the game but missed many chances. We played attacking soccer against an opponent that was on the defensive. We didn’t get the win we so richly deserved. We’re not satisfied with just one point from two matches, but there are games we can win to reach our goals. There are games where we can fight for one of our two goals. We want the fans behind us; I hope they’ll come out to support us. The next match is a crucial one. If we pick up points, it will boost the team’s morale.”
