Ahead of tomorrow’s (Oct. 1, 7:00 p.m.), our national team’s match against Armenia—part of the third round of League C in the Nations League—was discussed by our national team’s head coach, Apostolos Mantzios, spoke at the customary press conference.
Among other things, he stated
In detail: “Happy Independence Day to our country. We’re wrapping up the break with two matches, starting with Armenia. They’re a very good team, dangerous in open play. In the next two matches, we need maximum points to stay on track.
In the last match, we didn’t get what we deserved, but in the end, it’s the points that count.”
More to come shortly…
Panagiotis Andreou spoke on behalf of the players: “Two games where we’re looking for three points. We played in packed stadiums on the road. We’d like that too. The fans play a big role.
We’re not afraid of anyone; we’re playing at home, and we’re playing for the three points in every game.
We want to build on the momentum from our last match. The only thing missing was the goal. We need that goal to secure the three points.”
