With four goals in the first half and Croatia’s defense playing like a bunch of kids, England ran riot in Rijeka with a 7-0 victory.
It was a great night for Thomas Tuchel’s team and, at the same time, a dark night for Slaven Bilić’s, who is starting his tenure with a negative record.
This 7-0 loss to England is the heaviest defeat in Croatian history.
The previous heaviest defeat came against Spain on September 11, 2018. That match was also part of the Nations League, when Croatia lost by an equally crushing 6-0 in Elche.
