Ever since it added Sprint Races to the calendar, Formula 1 has seen drivers, teams, and fans alike “embrace” this initiative, which has dramatically increased interest and competition.
Consequently, the decision-makers at the pinnacle of motorsports decided to make a significant change ahead of the new racing season by increasing the number of mini-races!
Compared to the six Sprint Races we’ve had in previous years, four more Sprint Races will be added starting in 2027!
Specifically, the new season will feature Sprint Races in Bahrain, Australia, Japan, Canada, Monaco, the United Kingdom, and Italy, as well as at circuits in Brazil, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi.
The 2027 Formula 1 season will feature 10 Sprint races—four more than in previous years—and will include Monaco as one of the Sprint venues
