A last-minute change to Panathinaikos’ European roster for the two matches against Hradec Králové, with Jacob Nystrup making a purely tactical decision ahead of the crucial matches against the Czechs.
The “Clover” coach chose to add Eric Palmer Brown to his available options, as he has returned to full training, leaving Anas Zarouri out. The American center back is now officially on the roster and will travel with the Panathinaikos squad for tomorrow’s game.
This is a decision by Nistrup, who assessed the team’s needs for this particular matchup and determined that having another center back would be more useful than fielding the Moroccan attacking midfielder. This gives him an additional option in the center of the defense for two matches in which balance and roster management could play a decisive role.
The change, however, applies exclusively to the two matches against Hradec Králové. Should Panathinaikos overcome the Czech opponent and continue its European campaign, a new roster will be submitted, and the situation will be reevaluated by the coaching staff.
Panathinaikos’ roster: Peña, Kotsaris, Chaves, Katris, Tsiriveya, Touba, De Vrij, Tetei, Jagiusic, Desers, Adino, Palmer Brown, Cherin, Kontouris, Tsapras, Tamborda, Kamara, Pelistri, Biniaris, Van Drongelen, Rastonder, Kyriakopoulos, Garcia.
