After the very unfair “draw” in Paphos, the “Double-Headed Eagle of the North” also learned who its next opponent will be in the League Phase of Europe’s second-tier club competition.
PAOK will face the winner of the Hammarby–Anderlecht matchup in the third qualifying round of the Europa League.
The “Double-Headed Eagle of the North” learned during Monday’s (July 20) draw their opponent in the third qualifying round of the Europa League, provided they manage to overcome the hurdle of Dynamo Kyiv, led by their “old acquaintance” Tomasz Ketziora (the first leg will take place on Thursday, July 23, in Poland, while the second leg is scheduled for July 30 at Toumba Stadium).
If the “black-and-whites” secure qualification, they will face the winner of the Hammarby–Anderlecht matchup in a two-leg series. The first leg will take place on August 6 at Toumba, and the second leg on August 13.
If they advance, the Thessaloniki team will face one more hurdle in the Europa League playoffs to reach the League Phase.
If they are eliminated—either in the third qualifying round or in the playoffs—they will secure a spot in the Conference League group stage.
