A new twist in the reports regarding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future with the Portuguese national team came from his sister, Elma Aveiro, in a pointed social media post.
The 41-year-old superstar’s departure from Portugal’s training session, as well as from the squad traveling to Copenhagen, has sparked intense debate about his presence on the national team and, above all, his future with the squad.

“O Jogo,” citing exclusive information, reported that Ronaldo is not expected to play for the national team again, while he himself has not clarified his next move. It seems that everything now hangs by a thread.
Elma Aveiro, for her part, strongly expressed her opposition to what is happening, arguing that her brother did not receive the respect he deserved.
Here is what Ronaldo’s sister, Elma Aveiro, said in detail: “CR7 deserved more respect. The national team deserved more unity. The Portuguese media deserved more competence and less speculation. As for the Portuguese people, well… they don’t deserve the best in anything. We are envious, contemptuous, ignorant, and we deserve to return to the mediocrity we’ve always been in soccer before CR7. Thank you for everything, CR7! You deserved better!”
