Lionel Messi called this year’s World Cup in North America “crazy”; he believes that Argentina never disappoints, noted that everyone knew before the match that it wasn’t just a victory over England, and called it “crazy” to play in two consecutive World Cup finals.
In detail: “This World Cup is truly crazy, and being in yet another final is unbelievable. To the Argentines, I’ll say what I said in Qatar: Enjoy it—this team never disappoints. Everything we’ve experienced has been incredible. Even though it was a soccer match, there was a special feeling right from the start of the national anthem. The team felt it. We knew it wasn’t just another win. It was a significant victory that the people of Argentina wanted, and we wanted it too—it took us to yet another World Cup final. It’s crazy to play in two consecutive World Cup finals.”
