Ettore Messina and Zeljko Obradovic met at the 25th coaching conference “Dušan Ivković,” with the Italian coach emphasizing, in his remarks, the return of the Serbian legend to the helm of Panathinaikos.

Specifically, he noted that this move is the best one the “clover” could have made, praising “Zoc,” while humorously remarking that this is bad news for their opponents.

At the same time, he also touched on his own future, given that he has left Armani Milan, emphasizing that he has not yet decided whether he wants to continue working as a coach or in another role.

Regarding Obradović’s return, he said:

“I think it was an extremely smart move by Panathinaikos’s ownership. Zeljko will help the club tremendously. Simply put, right now, there’s no one more suitable and no better coach to lead this team. For us, his opponents, this is definitely bad news! But I’m happy for him. It’s where he wants to be.”

“It’s a great story that’s coming to a beautiful conclusion. After so many years away from Panathinaikos, where he achieved incredible things, to have the opportunity to return and likely end your career there… I think it’s something huge and a fantastic turn of events.”

Regarding his own future, he commented:

“Right now, I have no idea what I’ll do. Fortunately, there are people who have shown interest in me. But I’m different from Zeljko. I’m still trying to decide whether I want to be a head coach or work in an office as a management executive.”
