Mexico defeated the Czech Republic 3-0 over the Czech Republic in the third and final match of Group 1 at the 2026 World Cup, bringing their group stage campaign to a perfect close. Javier Aguirre’s team went undefeated with three wins in as many matches, securing first place in the group, while the Czech Republic was eliminated from the tournament.
The Mexicans struggled to break through the opponent’s defense in the first half, but in the second half they stepped up their game, led by Mateo Chávez, Julian Quionones, and Alvaro Fidalo, they secured a comfortable victory in front of their home crowd.
