APOEL unveiled its 2026/27 home jersey and… brought back memories of the past.
The announcement: “A jersey that is part of APOEL’s golden history returns to the field 53 years later. Created through Macron’s design and technological research. The Cypriot club and the Italian company are unveiling the new 2026/27 Home Kit, inspired by the jersey the team wore during the 1973/74 season, when APOEL competed in Greece’s First Division.

A special chapter in the club’s history is being revived in a new form, retaining the colors and elements that have shaped its identity.

The new 2026/27 Home Kit draws inspiration from the key features of the 1973/74 jersey, reinterpreting them through a contemporary design approach. APOEL’s traditional yellow and blue are highlighted through sublimated stripes and the unique construction of the new Eco 3D Knit – Weave, a jacquard material developed by Macron for the 2026/27 season. The fabric’s three-dimensional structure creates a graphic effect with striking depth, combining the design of the historic jersey with research into materials and technical innovation.
The knitted collar features the same combination of yellow and blue. The Macron Hero logo and the APOEL FC crest are placed on the chest, completing a design that maintains a strong connection to the original jersey while clearly looking toward modern soccer. And between the two permanent logos is the 100th-anniversary logo.
The interior details also help highlight the history of the relationship between the past and the present. The back of the collar (backneck) features the club’s colors, an element from the APOEL emblem, the inscription “A.P.O.E.L.,” the Macron logo, and the “Designed in Bologna” label, emphasizing that every garment is designed, developed, and refined at the Macron Campus. An inner trim has also been added to the back inside of the jersey, adding yet another distinctive detail to the garment.
The look is completed with blue shorts featuring a yellow drawstring, as well as blue and yellow socks that echo the graphic pattern of the jersey.
The jersey and shorts are made from fabrics in the Eco Fabric line, which were developed by Macron and consist of 100% polyester derived from post-consumer recycled plastic. The main fabric of the jersey is the new Eco 3D Knit – Weave, which combines a three-dimensional structure with durability, stability, and comfort, while the back panel made of Eco James helps manage breathability. The finishing details are crafted from Eco Softlock.
