Christos Michailoudis, press officer for Freedom24 Krasava ENY, spoke to “Tsireio” about the team’s preparations, upcoming roster changes, and discussions regarding the “Tsireio,” Christoforos Michailoudis, press officer for Freedom24 Krasava ENY, spoke on “SPOR FM 95.0”
Here are the main points of what he said:
On Tsigrinski and preseason training: “We started preseason training a few days ago. The team will conduct its main training camp in Cyprus. Training sessions are taking place in Pelendri; the team is based in Agros, and we’re building the squad for the new season, which is expected to be just as difficult as the last one. Of course, with the experience we gained in our first year, at least we know what to expect since we won’t be rookies.”
As for whether any moves will be made: “There have been many changes to the roster; players on loan have left, and quite a few have been transferred. As you can imagine, we’ll need to make several new signings. But players are gradually arriving, such as Lysandros Papastylianou, Panagiotis Aggelis, and Konstantinos Venizelos. A Czech goalkeeper, around 25 years old, has also come for a tryout. The roster will be filled; there are discussions with players from both Cyprus and abroad. Mr. Tsigrinski, who began working in Cyprus alongside Ivan Stojanović, a Serbian coach—and since Mr. Tsigrinski will receive his coaching license in October, Mr. Stojanović will be listed as head coach— but when it comes to planning—which players will join and which will leave—Mr. Tsigrinski will make those decisions.”
Regarding how many new players will be added: “I believe that since we don’t have more than 14–15 players, we need reinforcements everywhere—both on defense and offense—so I estimate that around 8–9 players will join the team in various positions.”
What about Tsireio? “It’s something we deal with every day. As Mr. Loizidis said, we’ve proposed an alternative: if the Tsirion Stadium is ready, then we’ll play there; if not, we’ll return to Ammochostos.”
