This past summer, Christos Mouzakitis took the big step of leaving Greece and Olympiacos to test his skills in Europe’s top league with Hull City.
Two days after the scoreless draw against Aston Villa, the Greek international gave his first comments as a player for the “Tigers,” in which he mentioned his former teammate at Olympiacos, Konstantis Tzolakis and the role he played in his transfer, while also commenting on the upcoming competition he may face in midfield.
Here is what he said in detail:
“You know Konstantis Tzolakis because you were teammates with him at Olympiacos; are you looking forward to playing with him again?
“Yes, of course. Tzolakis isn’t just a teammate—he’s a friend. So I’m really happy to be here with him.”
For the fans who haven’t seen you play, can you describe yourself as a player:
“The truth is, I don’t want to say much about myself. The fans will see me on the field.”
There’s a lot of competition for midfield positions—are you ready for that and to learn from the other players as well?
“Yes, I’m ready; that’s why I came here—to learn everything about soccer, to develop as a player, and to work hard to become better.”
Welcome to your new home, Christos!
