Nea Salamina’s press officer, Loizos Moisseos, spoke to “SPOR FM 95.0” about everything related to the “Red-and-Whites.”
He began by addressing yesterday’s loss to AEK and the seven goals the team has conceded in the first two rounds of the league.
He discussed the possibility of another transfer, as well as the upcoming match against AEL.
His comments
On yesterday’s game against AEK: “It was our first home game; the fans did their part from the first minute to the last. We didn’t play the way we wanted to—there were some mistakes that cost us, at times we were in control, but when we were under pressure, some mistakes cost our team dearly. What we need to take away from what our coach said is that we’ll analyze those mistakes so they aren’t repeated.”
Regarding the seven goals Nea Salamina conceded in the first two matchdays: “It’s a situation we didn’t want to find ourselves in—we can’t change that— but what we can do is improve as we look ahead to the rest of the season; there are quite a few young players, so it will take more time for the team to gel.”
What he has to say to the fans: “The fans rightly have high expectations and demands. What we want to say to the fans is to continue supporting the team and giving it a boost—with the fans on our side, we’ll improve.”
On the possibility of another transfer: “That’s something the team’s relevant department is handling. The information we have is that we’ve completed the team’s signings; however, since the transfer window is still open, nothing is set in stone, but we believe we’re done.”
Regarding the match against AEL: “It’s a very difficult game; our goal is to show an improved performance and to present a better version of ourselves.”
